Problem Statement on case Ariela Hernandez
This is a 64 year-old- female with a PMH of obesity, HTN, Diabetes mellitus type 2,post menopause, knee arthritis, cold symptoms 1 month ago, current smoker 80 pack year, s/p recent( 6-Week ago)right knee replacement. Who brought to the ER via EMS with complaints of acute onset dyspnea and near syncope started approximately 3 hours ago.
Associated symptoms abrupt onset SOB, cough ,dyspnea, hypoxia, right calf slightly tender and swollen, Trace to 1+edema to ankles on left 2+ edema to knee on right. which demonstrates sepsis related to pneumonia w/potential r/o PE r/t recent surgery &sudden SOB
