Problem Statement on case Ava Liu*
The patient, an 18-year-old female, presents with acutely progressive dyspnea, severe midthoracic back pain, orthopnea, night sweats, unintentional weight loss, malaise, and respiratory distress. Physical examination reveals diminished left chest rise, decreased left upper and absent left lower lung breath sounds, a fixed supraclavicular lymph node with tracheal deviation, and displacement of the point of maximum impulse toward the sternum.
