Problem Statement on case Jonathan Reyes
This is a 2-year-old with no past medical history, comes in with a cough, and runny nose for 3 days when symptoms started and today is day number 2 with a fever currently 102.2. There is increased fussiness, primarily during the night, has had normal bowel movements and regular diapers, drinking a normal amount of daily milk intake, and decreased solid intake due to decreased appetite. Upon assessment, fever is 102.2, bilateral tympanic membranes bulging, erythema, and exudates to the pharynx. The patient leaves in an apartment with both parents who are smokers, and suffers from second-hand smoke.
