L.W. is a 41 year old Hispanic-American female who presents for a wellness exam. She has no current medical complaints. She is concerned about risk of breast cancer after both her mother(65) and maternal first cousin(44) were diagnosed with breast cancer. Her age of menarche was 10 and her first pregnancy was at 33, and they place her at a risk of the disease. She breastfed each of her boys for 4 months. She reports a mammogram done at 40 years and was normal. She has a history of fibrocystic breast disease. She has elevated blood pressure, an increased BMI of 27.5, and a family history of hypertension (father), diabetes (mother), and hyperlipidemia (father).
