Problem Statement on case Miah Zavarro
The patient is 21 months old female who presents with her mother for a two-day history of severe persistent right foot swelling with warmth and left hand and finger swelling. Mom endorsed a lack of appetite, abdominal pain and distention, decreased play, and refusal to grasp, bear weight or walk. Per mom's report, symptoms are relieved by NSAIDs, fluids, and rest. The physical exam revealed scleral icterus, splenomegaly, and a systolic flow murmur. Risk factors: history of similar hand and foot symptoms, no family or birth history available, prior URI
