Contemporary Business Leaders: Warren Buffett
As he is often called the "Sage" or "Oracle" of Omaha, Warren Buffett is widely viewed as one of the most successful investors in history. He has accumulated a personal multibillion dollar fortune mainly through buying companies and investing in stocks and through Berkshire Hathaway. After he acquired Berkshire Hathaway Textile Company in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in 1965. Buffett effected a successful turnaround of the company, which focused on changing the company's financial framework while keeping its textile business, he also used the company as a holding company for other investments which he still does to this date, that’s over 50 years as head of the organization. I selected this individual since my wife actually is one of his corporate flight attendant’s at TMC Jets, which is a business that Mr. Buffett help start up and invest in, which he currently still charters. That alone was enough to spark my interest and truly find out how remarkable this investor has been as to become became one of the world's richest men and a celebrated philanthropist.
