Starlink is a division of Space Exploration Technologies, or SpaceX, founded by African businessman Elon Musk in 2015 that will provide local and global internet services. They launched their first satellites in 2018 and has since began testing other various designs of satellites while working with astronomers from around the globe (Crist, 2023). SpaceX’s Starlink organizational model is based on quality and lucrativeness that allows customers to access the internet where services are usually not available like global, urban, and rural locations (joshuacogar, 2021).
Introduction
The human resource management (HRM) plan is to work with SpaceX leaders to increase the growth and success of Starlink, through talent acquisition, boosting team performance, and reinforcing feedback. Using SWOT analysis to identify business strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities and SMART goals to reach the desired goals. HRM can improve team performance and collaboration by aiding in setting goals that are easily managed and reachable (Noe et al, 2021).
