This 57. y.o. obese Hispanic male patient with a significant family history of HTN and CAD presents with an elevated blood pressure of 172/94 on the right and 178/98 on the left after attending a health fair. Denies chest pain, palpitations, and dyspnea but does report upper epigastric "burning" and "acid stomach" relieved with OTC omeprazole. Reports 35 pack- year smoking history and weekly alcohol consumption. Consumes a high fat, high salt diet with no routine exercise regimen. Frequent NSAID use for "achy joints". Assessment is significant for AV nicking.
