Some studies suggested that neurobiological features such as CRH, corticotropin-releasing hormone; 5HT, serotonin; GABA, y-aminobutyric acid; NPY, neuropeptide Y; ACTH, adrenocorticotropin; NE, norepinephrine; CSF, cerebrospinal fluid will identify abnormalities in patients with post-traumatic stress disorder. Sherin et al (2011), suggested that the characteristic changes in brain structure and function have been identified in patients with PTSD using brain imaging methods.
