Nurse practitioners (NPs) are clinicians who practice under specific policies and procedures in the state where they are licensed in (American Association of Nurse Practitioners [AANP], 2022b). NPS are advanced practice nurse registered nurses (APRN) that can practice in any healthcare setting (American Association of Nurse Practitioners [AANP], 2022a).
