Bedside nurse to nurse handoff in the emergency room is a healthcare improvement model that aims at improving patient safety and care. Bedside nurse-to-nurse handoff means that the nurse who is going home and the one coming in share patient information beside the patient, briefing the continuing nurse on the patient plan of care, diagnosis, procedures performed, and any other medications given (Campbell & Dontje, 2019).
