This 25-year old women presents to clinic after a weekend hiking trip 24 hours ago with her boyfriend where she developed a rash. Rash is located on bilateral inner thighs where it is a confluent patch 10x12cm, erythematous papules and blisters that are in varying stages of healing. Rash has spread to left ventral forearm where it is composed in a linear fashion of erythematous papules and yellow-red blisters. Rash is itchy and becoming tender. Patient has exposure to wild plants, hot tub, new suntan lotion, and scallops. Reports that boyfriend has not developed rash. Pt taking established BCP (does not know type or dosage) and denies any new medication.
