The patient is a 58-year-old male who presents with intermittent, burning, chest pain located mid sternum and radiates to just above his adams apple. He reports pain level of 4-5 out of 10 in severity, lasting about 30 minutes or more. He denies taking any OTC medication for pain relief. Exertion does not affect pain occurrence or intensity. He does not exercise and has poor eating habits. He drinks 2 cups of coffee per day and about 3 drinks of wine or whiskey per week. He reports mild financial stressors. He denies chest tightness or heaviness and difficulty breathing.
