As nurse Practitioners who have the right to prescribe medications to patients, a legitimate and ethical reflection should be carefully considered and taken prior to prescribing medications to patients. The capacity to prescribe medication gives medical providers the opportunity to patients’ health, however, a level of accountability is levied once medication is prescribed to patients. In the united states, each state is governed by rules, regulations, and standard of practice by which practitioners abide by, and take into consideration prior to giving prescriptions to patients.
