Today’s world is full of challenges and choices. You must navigate a path through a convoluted maze of information and options, knowing what you need, when to ask for help, and how to make educated decisions about your future. Critical thinking is the set of abilities that helps you analyze problems, synthesize ideas, and evaluate information so that you can make well-reasoned choices on your own. According to Chapter one of the book 21Century Skills: Critical Thinking and the process of actively seeking to Problem Solving, Critical thinking is defined as, "understand, analyzing, and evaluating the importance or significance of information," (Abitheira, 7) Critical thinking is an important skill that goes beyond just being logical. It also requires you to be able to analyze the situation at hand and then make a decision that is best for you. Critical thinking is essential in the job search process, especially when looking for a career match.
