The Cons on Abortion

Millions of women in the United States and across the world make a choice that drives them to abortion everyday due to lack or resources and support (Foster, 2015). One in every five pregnancies will end with abortion (Mathewes-Green, 2016). In addition, nearly 70,000 women a year die from unsafe abortions, most of these women were uneducated about safe sex and the dangers of abortion (Arons, Jessica, and Shira, 2007). As Christians, abortion goes against the Bible; Church ministries can provide solutions to help women stay true to their faith when it comes to abortion. Pro-life Action Ministries helped save 3,100 babies from abortion, they provide education, support, and programs to women in need of them (Pro-life Action Ministries, 2014). Although abortion is legal it should be avoided by Christians at all costs as it is a mortal sin, support such as crisis centers, educational programs, and more are available to help expecting mothers, and adoption provides a more ethical alternative to keeping one's baby.

Half of teens, which include teens from all denominations that are pro-life based off religious beliefs, choose to terminate their pregnancies (Todd, 2012). For many Christians, abortion is considered a mortal sin because it goes against the bible.
