Pediatric Clinical Experience Overview
Over the past ten weeks in my pediatric clinical rotation, I have experienced many interesting cases. The provider that precepted me was a wealth of knowledge that contributed
significantly to my clinical experience and education. He was supportive in helping me achieve my goals and improve on my weaknesses. I realized that to succeed in pediatrics you have to listen to the family and do what’s best for the child. This population required a lot of teaching and patient education for all ages and stages, which I was able to contribute to their care.
Family and Family Roles in Pediatrics
My definition of family is people that live together and function
cohesively as a unit. Over the years there have been family changes due
