You have submitted a practicum application for course 6665 for the Winter 2023 term. The purpose of this email is to remind you of the practicum course requirements for this course. It is your responsibility to ensure you will meet the practicum requirements for this course with your preceptorship(s) and enter accurate information in your practicum application about your preceptor. You should review the Practicum Manual to ensure you are meeting all practicum requirements.

This practicum course has the following requirements:

Types of Patients: Patients receiving care for psychiatric disorders across the lifespan to include children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Types of Services to Meet Course Requirements: Assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment intervention of individuals with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Preceptors must have prescriptive authority and conduct medication management sessions.

Hours & Patient Encounters:

160 practicum hours.

80 patient encounters with minimum requirements as follows:

A minimum of 40 patient encounters must be with adults and older adults.

A minimum of 40 patient encounters must be with children and adolescents.

Telehealth: 25% of practicum hours must be completed onsite for the practicum experience as only 75% of practicum hours are allowed to be completed via telehealth……….. Continue
